Asan Chapukh’s, a figurant in Vedzhie Kashka’s case, daughter Eddie said her family could not find independent doctors to examine the political prisoner in the pretrial detention center.

She wrote it on Facebook.

«My family has faced with the problem that in Crimea it is now impossible to find doctors who would agree to examine a prison patient. As you all probably know, my father is in a critical condition. He is getting worse and worse every day! He is not being taken out for treatment anywhere, and it won’t happen, so we’ve decided to take doctors to him, though it turned out not so simple today,» the political prisoner’s daughter stated.

She noted that her family did not know «how to be, where to apply for and which doors to knock on».

«I have only one question, which Hippocrates these doctors swore if in this situation they refuse to help the patient,» she said.

In Crimea, Vedzhie Kashka’ case figurant Asan Chapukh is on a hunger strike for four days demanding to change the restraint measure to house arrest.

Earlier, on September 11, Asan Chapukh said that he would go on a hunger strike on September 15th if the decision to prolong the arrest was not canceled.

Now Chapukh is kept in the medical unit in the pretrial detention center. His health state is constantly deteriorating. The political prisoner does not receive qualified medical assistance. Chapukh could not take part in the last few court meetings because of his poor health.

As ATR reported, on September 11th, Simferopol Kiev District Court in Crimea extended for two months the detention term for defendants in Vedzhie Kashka’s case.
