On September 24th, Crimean Supreme Court in Simferopol postponed consideration of political prisoner’s defense appeal against Razdolnensky Court’s verdict on recognizing Vladimir Balukh to be guilty in alleged disorganization of detention center work where the man was detained.

As to Balukh's lawyer Olga Dinze, the meeting was delayed as an issue of taking up a political prisoner to the court was not settled.

«The hearing did not take place, because the issue of delivering Balukh to the court had not been solved. He has refused to go into the videoconference room, as he wants to participate in the court session by himself and asks to bring him to the court meetings to consider his defense appeals,» Dinze said.

It is still unknown the date of consideration Balukh’s complaint. As it is known, in July 2018, Razdolnensky Court sentenced Vladimir Balukh to 5 years in a general-regime penal colony and charged him 10,000 rubles fine for allegedly disorganizing Razdolnensky detention center’s activity.

On September 10, 2018, Crimean Supreme Court in Simferopol rejected political prisoner’s defense appeal against discontinuance on the parole application for the Ukrainian.

As you know, Vladimir Balukh is starving since March 19, 2018. He announced an indefinite hunger strike demanding to rescind his unlawful sentence. After a month of hunger strike, he agreed to eat 2 glasses of oatmeal and 50-70 grams of rye biscuits a day.
