Dinze announced it in a video message which was published by the Crimean Tatar Kurultay CEC head Zair Smedlya on Facebook.

«We rely on his future release. It is just the exact time for parole. When he gets the colony, we can ask for his release on parole. (...) He may count on a short term, because we will watch another resolution the next week or two as he served about 2 years and 9 months according to his sentence. He has been left a little more than a year,» Dinze explained.

The lawyer also noticed about Balukh’s health. As to him, Ukrainian has a suspicion of an ulcer or pancreatitis.

«The health state is bad. There are some problems with heart and internal organs, there is a suspicion of an ulcer or pancreatitis,» he said and added that Balukh might rely on a full medical examination after being transferred to a colony.

Commenting on court’s conclusions, lawyer Dmitry Dinze stated that the criminal prosecution on Balukh is a reprisal for his political position.

«We consider that all criminal prosecution on Balukh is a political component for its principal position toward Ukraine. As the Ukrainian citizen, he did not accordingly adopt a situation with annexation, and he always conflicted with local authorities and police officers. So they decided to deal with him,» said Dinze.

On Wednesday, October 3, 2018, the Crimean Supreme Court in Simferopol modified the sentence for the Ukrainian political prisoner Vladimir Balukh. Court reduced the term of imprisonment to Balukh per 1 month, so it was from 5 years to 4 years 11 months but leaving 10 thousand rubles fine.

As it is known, Vladimir Balukh is on hunger strike since March 19, 2018. He notified his indefinite hunger strike, demanding to cancel his illegal sentence. After a month of hunger strike, he agreed to take 2 cups of oatmeal starch drink and 50-70 grams of rye crackers a day.
