Erwin Ibrahimov, a member of the Coordination Council of the World Congress of Crimean Tatars (WCCT), has gone missing in Bakhchysarai on Wednesday, May 25.

“The parents of Erwin Ibrahimov, a member of the Coordination Council of the World Congress of Crimean Tatars, have informed that their son’s car parked in front of the entrance to the house where he lives is open,” Ayshe Umerova, the daughter of the vice-chairman of Medjlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ilmi Umerov, wrote in the morning on her Facebook page.

There is no connection with him, his current location cannot be found. According to her, in the morning they had to go to Sudak, but he did not come to the meeting place.

The first vice-chairman of Medjlis of the Crimean Tatar people Nariman Dzhelyal also told the details of this case.

“As Erwin Ibrahimov told to his friends, on May 17 he was followed by an unknown car “Skoda Octavia” A6 No. 350 , 36th region . Someone trace his home and then followed his car. However, the following days he did not notice such surveillance. Whether this fact is related to his abduction , I cannot  argue  at the moment”, he wrote.

The chairman of Medjlis Refat Chubarov mentioned that for the last time Ervin had called his father on the 24th of May at around 23.00.

Later during the day some activists spread the video from the security cameras, where Erwin Ibrahimov was kidnapped by people wearing uniforms of supposedly Road Patrol Service. Moreover, according to the head of Central Election Commission of Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people Zair Smedlya, Ervin called to his father and asked where the documents for his car were.

Crimean lawyer Emil Kurbedinov added that FSB officers in Simferopol flatly refused to take Erwin’s relatives’ statement about his abduction and video from the security cameras.

“Nobody even came to them. Relatives had to send an application by mail. Also Erwin’s relatives wish to make a complaint on refusal to accept the application of the crime. On this occasion, it begs a lot of questions ...” he wrote on Facebook.

The vice-chairman of Medjlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ilmi Umerov fears that Erwin Ibrahimov may be killed.

“I cannot say that this is the case, but the people in the uniforms at night could eliminate one of the activists of the national movement. The same actions may be taken to me, too. After all, they opened a criminal case against me and according to the article I may have five years of prison”, he told to “QHA” news agenсу.

The   deputy CEO of ATR Channel Ayder Muzhdabaev is sure that the Russian authorities want to make people petrified.

“The Russian authorities want to create a hybrid ghetto for the Crimean Tatars, ruled by total terror. This terror may have two forms: so called daily terror, when people may be deported or may have searches in their homes, and night terror when people are kidnapped and diminished at night, like Reshat Ametov, for example”, he told to “15 minut” website.
