Mustafa Dzhemilev in his interview with the Polish newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza spoke about the Kremlin’s attempts to hook him within blackmailing his son’s fate who is imprisoned in the Russian Federation.

Hereby are some extracts from the interview posted on Facebook by the Ukrainian president's envoy to the Crimean Tatar people.

«The Russians sentenced my son Khayser to three and half years in prison and took him immediately from Crimea to prison in Astrakhan. Afterwards I’ve heard Putin wants me to meet, and if the conversation is «efficient» I will be opened the way back to my homeland and my son will be released at once. In return I asked whether «Tzar» had taken hostages my son? If yes, thus he is the terrorist. And we don’t talk to the terrorists», said Mustafa Dzhemilev.

The leader of the Crimean Tatar people noted that according to the Russian politician Grigoriy Yavlinskiy, «Putin was able to act only two ways used to while working at the security services. Either he enlists or manages the special operations against the non-recruited people».

«In my case this rule has been worked but they couldn’t enlist me thus I am persecuted», said Mustafa Aga.

According to Dzhemilev, the Kremlin takes hostages not only his son:

«There were sentenced 18 activists, more than 20 of our people were kidnapped, some were found dead and others we do believe to find alive».

Dzhemilev noted answering the journalist’s question what about the Russian authorities comments on matter: «nothing except the constant assurances they are innocent».

Mustafa Dzhemilev supposed that the west politicians won’t agree to drastic measures to force Moscow to put Crimea back.

«West may pay dearly for flexibility in matters related to the occupation of Crimea. After all the United States, the United Kingdom and Russia together persuaded Ukraine to give up its nuclear arsenal under the guarantee providing by the security and the territorial integrity in 1994. Obeying the Moscow dictatorship regarding Crimea, the world, in fact, rejects efforts of the nuclear weapons non-proliferation. The Ukrainian sample teaches the dictators that only having the nuclear weapons gives them any guarantee of security», said Mustafa Dzhemilev.
