On Tuesday, September 13, «the judge» of so-called the Supreme Court of Crimea, Tatiyana Fedorova rejected the complaint for review of the deputy chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ilmi Umerov filled on question of his illegal psychiatric detainment and medical evaluation.

«The Crimean judge Fedorova denied Ilmi Umerov in his third complaint. They work extremely clumsy», the lawyer Nikolay Polozov commented on the court’s decision in Twitter.

According to his information during the debates Umerov told about the pressure of the FSS «investigator» who demanded from doctors to release the patient out of the cardiovascular care unit beforehand. Nevertheless neither these nor those arguments led to no results.

It’d be noted that concerning the Russian law violations committed by a «judge» Fedorova and a «prosecutor» Filipenko within a previous complaint review, the advocacy announced seeking their recusal but it was the same rejected.

A newsblog «15 minutes» informed that on Tuesday, September 13, so-called the Supreme Court of Crimea reviewed and rejected three appeals of Ilmi Umerov. The first one is based on a «court’s» decision on the criminal proceeding against him. The second is based on a cancellation the subscription to disclose information about his case, and the third is about the illegal psychiatric detainment and medical evaluation.

Later on the lawyer of Ilmi Umerov, Nikolay Polozov made a video representation in which commented the «court’s» decision and spoke about future protection plan:

To remind some facts, at May 12, the occupational prosecutor of Crimea, Nataliya Poklonskaya reported that the FSS investigators field the criminal case against Ilmi Umerov under the article on extremism. «He is suspected in committing the public appeals and actions aimed to change the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation», Poklonskaya pointed out.

The detention, house-checks, searches and criminal case, a forced psychiatric detainment and medical examination of the well-known member of the national liberation movement of the Crimean Tatars, the deputy chairman of the Mejlis, Ilmi Umerov caused a strong public and international resonance.

It’s especially obscene to place Ilmi Umerov illegally and involuntary into a psychiatric hospital. The «court’s» decision on a forced detainment was read out in the absence of Ilmi Umerov. He got sick immediately in a courtroom, and EFR (Emergency First Response) hospitalized him detecting the preinfarction angina. After this «decision» the appeal was filed in but the FSS investigators didn’t wait its reviewing. Despite the poor health including his tolerated heavy heart surgery and diabetes, Ilmi Umerov forcibly held for three weeks in a psychiatric hospital. Umerov was released from a psychiatric hospital at September 7. He is now under an order not to leave the country.

At September 3 there held a rally in support of Ilmi Umerov in many countries around the world. Their participants demanded to release him immediately and to cancel the criminal prosecution.
