In the morning on Thursday, December 1, the Crimean Tatar, Vadim Siruk accused by the occupiers in Crimea in supporting the activities of «Hizb ut-Tahrir» organisation, was forced to pass a psychiatric examination. His wife Anna Bogacheva wrote on Facebook.

«According to unconfirmed information, this morning Vadim Siruk was taken from a prison to a psychiatric hospital for examination which, as far as I know, would last at least 21 days, » Bogacheva wrote.

She noted that it is the fifth case of the forced psychiatric examination against the Crimean Muslims.

«Ilmi Umerov has passed it in August and September this year. As a sign of solidarity toward him (Ilmi Umerov – edit.) the political prisoners including Vadim refused to pass the examination on their own. The investigation found it necessary despite their adequate behavior to complete it using involuntary way. Muslim Aliyev has been already for two weeks in a hospital, and Refat Alimov and Arsen have been there for a week. Today Vadim Siruk has joined them, » added Bogacheva.

To remind some facts, in spite of a poor health state, in particular transferred complicated heart surgery and diabetes, the deputy chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ilmi Umerov was forcibly held for 3 weeks in a psychiatric hospital. Umerov was released on September 7.

On November 3, it became known that the detainees of a case «Hizb ut-Tahrir» were to pass the forced psychiatric examination. This decision was taken due to the arrested Crimean Tatars refusal to pass a psychiatric examination which they considered as the solidarity with Ilmi Umerov.
