«Court» in Crimea refused releasing the Ukrainian activist

On Thursday, December 22, the so-called Supreme Court of the occupied Crimea considered a complaint against bail hearing to the Ukrainian activist Vladimir Balukh in a form of detention, but judge upheld the appeal.

The Ukrainian activist Vladimir Balukh being arrested on December 8 for keeping a weapon will be sentenced until January 6, 2017. The Crimean Human Rights Group informs.

To remind some facts, «investigator» in the occupied Crimea accused detainee the Ukrainian activist and the Crimean resident Vladimir Balukh on December 14.

According to the newsblog «15 Minutes», on the eve the day before Balukh’s detainment the man was threatened to call «police» because he hung on a wall of his house a sign with the name of the street in honor of Heavenly Hundred Heroes.

Previously, for his pro-Ukrainian position Vladimir Balukh had been persecuted by the «authorities» of the occupied Crimea. In his house «police officers» carried out two house checks. After the second raid Balukh was accused in insulting the «police officer» Evgeniy Baranov and sentenced to 320 hours of compulsory labor.
