The deputy chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Ilmi Umerov was handed by FSS an updated indictment. This was written on Facebook by the Russian journalist Anton Naumlyuk.

«Ilmi Umerov handed an updated indictment. Nothing had changed. The article is the same and the episode is the same», Naumlyuk wrote.

To remind some facts, on May 12 the ex-prosecutor of Crimea Nataliya Poklonskaya reported that FSS investigators filed against Ilmi Umerov the criminal case under the article on extremism. Then there followed detention, home checks and placement into a psychiatric hospital for compulsory examination. Despite the poor health, in particular passed complicated heart surgery and diabetes, Umerov was forcibly placed for 3 weeks in a psychiatric hospital.

On September 7 Umerov was released from a mental hospital. Now he is at home, in Bakhchisaray, under house arrest.

On December 29 the deputy head of the Mejlis stated that neither he personally nor his lawyer, nor his daughter could not pay the fine which was awarded to a detainee by the «court» occupiers.

Also FSS tries to summon for questioning Umerov’s lawyer, Nicholay Polozov , as a witness in order to deprive him the status of the defender. Another Umerov’s lawyer, Emil Kurbedinov was arrested on January 26 for 10 days for publishing a post in the social network almost four years ago.
