On Wednesday, May 10, the so-called Supreme Court in the occupied Crimea continued questioning defense witnesses in the case «February 26» against the deputy chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Akhtem Chiygoz.

As the lawyer Nikolay Polozov stated, at today's meeting the defense witness said that during the rally on February 26, 2014, the pro-Russian rally participants were transported by large groups to the walls of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

Moreover, according to the witness, he watched how in the rally venue they handed around armors, truncheons and shanks from the shovels out of a car labeled with the Russian flag. There were the very things that the so-called prosecution witnesses had repeatedly told about.

«The witness highlighted that he hadn’t seen these items used directly during the crush, though he considered that these people were related to the pro-Russian protesters», the lawyer Polozov said.

Afternoon the court will continue questioning the next defense witness.

As the website «15 minutes» previously reported, on March 21, the court began questioning the defense witnesses on Chiygoz’s case.

All the so-called material evidence such as photo and video materials from the rally on February 26, 2014, submitted earlier to the «court» contradict the prosecution version and the testimonies of «witnesses» and «victims». In addition, this evidence testifies that the initiators and provocateurs at the rally under the walls of the Supreme Council in Crimea are the pro-Russian rally participants and organized by Sergey Aksyonov, who is currently the so-called head of the occupied Crimea.
