Detainee in case «Ukrainian saboteurs», Vladimir Prisich’s health state had worsened in the pretrial detention centre in the occupied Crimea.

As Crimean human rights group reports, political prisoner’s relatives and lawyers will aim to provide him medical examination.

«On Tuesday, June 20, one half Vladimir’s head had been numbed, the nose had bleeding, and he fainted. He was examined in the first-aid post and given a fairly expensive remedy for free as piracetam. It helps to normalize the blood circulation in brain»,  Prisich’s relatives said.

His relatives are feared of having him a microstroke. The defense intends to file a petition for a medical examination in the hospital.

To remind some facts, after Prisich’s detention in August 2016, Russian media labeled him as a member of Ukrainian intelligence and showed a video with “his recognition in spying”. Later, Vladimir confessed all his testimony given under tortures.

In June 2017, Gagarinskiy District Court in the occupied Crimea sentenced the Ukrainian prisoner for 3 years imprisonment in a general penal colony.

The website «15 minutes» reported that the prosecution's charges are in no way connected with «Ukrainian saboteurs» case in Crimea.

It was said in a verdict that Vladimir Prisich was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Illegal acquisition, storage, transportation, manufacturing, and processing of narcotic drugs).

Speaking his last word in a court, the Ukrainian stated that all charges of drug storage and transportation were fabricated by the FSS officers after the accusation in espionage completely had been collapsed, as the Crimean human rights group reports.

«I do not agree absolutely with all charges against me, because I am absolutely innocent, and my fault in the incriminated crime is absent. The FSB officers imposed me a crime in spying, but failed to prove it and then tried to isolate me from society through a clear provocation as sudden appearing the package of drugs in my car's cabin in half a day since my actual detention», Prisich stated.

Ukrainian lawyers said that the case was completely fabricated by Russian special services and filed an appeal with the demand to fully justify Prisich.
