«He doesn’t sleep the fourth night. He can only be in a sitting position, as soon as he lies down, he feels worse. It's very problematic for him to reach the toilet. They didn’t bring him to us. I wrote a number of complaints to the head of the detention centre and to their medical office, so that he could be transferred urgently to a specialized medical institution and provided with urgent medical assistance, especially, he needs lung ventilation», he said.

On December 6, 2017 the court extended Bekir Degermendzhi’s arrest. Crimean Tatar became bad several times during the hearing, and he was called an ambulance.

Earlier, it became known that police officers refused to provide medical assistance the Crimean Tatar Asan Chapukh, who was also accused of allegedly extortion by the invaders. The day before, Chapukh had a microinsult in the detention center.

On November 24, 2017 the so-called Kiev District Court in Simferopol chose to detain for two months  Asan Chapukh, Ruslan Trubach, Kyazim Ametov and Bekir Degermendzhi.

The invaders accuse the men of alleged blackmailing a Turkish citizen. However, the Crimean Tatars tried to help the Vedzhie Kashka family to recover the money stolen by this Turkish citizen. According to the First Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Nariman Dzhelyal, it is about Yusuf Aytan, a Turkish citizen who stole a large sum of money from the Kashka family. Dzhelyal suggests that the Russian special services used the Turk, or he himself went with them to cooperate and to avoid returning his debt.

The detained Crimean Tatars at the time of the round-up were in the cafe together with Vedzhie Kashka. They came there at Yusuf Aytan’s request who on the eve promised to return the money.
