Condemned in the Russian Federation, the Crimean Tatar and figurant in «Hizb ut-Tahrir case», Ferat Seyfullaev is kept in a cell-type room in the pre-trial detention center for 9 months.

Activist Yana Goncharova wrote it on Facebook.

According to her, Sayfullaev got into the ward-type room for SIM-card found among his things.

«The detention term in the ward-type room was extended to 5 months as a penalty as he did not tidy the cell. It ends on February 4, 2018, but there is a doubt that the term might be prolonged again», Goncharova said.

She also said that Sayfullaev and his lawyer Edem Semedlyaev filed a petition to the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Russian Federation with a demand to transfer him to Ukraine.

«He receives about 5 letters within a month and contacts with his relatives via mailing. Ferat is grateful to everyone who supports him, but is not always ready to respond to all letters», Goncharova said.

Last November Ferat Sayfullaev’s wife, Elzara reported about her unavailability to contact her husband for more than five months.

«For more than five months (since transfer) I can’t contact my husband. Earlier I could order one call once a week, and we were able to communicate. Now we talk only via mailing each other», then Elzara Sayfullaeva said.

As to the website «15 minutes», Ferat was placed in a ward-type cell for alleged violation the order. Sayfullaev recognized his lawyer that he had not committed any violations.

«He is currently in a cell-type room for alleged violation. According to him, there was no violation. Thus, all people detained on such articles are kept in such places. It is done so they do not communicate, have many violations and are unable to file for parole and simply under a pressure», Semedlyaev said.

He also noted that Sayfullaev was given a maximum penalty for minor violations in a colony.

«As far as I understand, they give him maximum terms. They usually rebuke or fine two weeks of detention for such violations, and one month is given as maximum. Though he was immediately fined per six months. First they allegedly found a sim card from him, and now he allegedly broke the order», the lawyer explained.

As it is known, Crimean Tatars Ruslan Zeytullaev, Rustem Vaitov, Nuri Primov and Ferat Sayfullaev were accused of creating and participating in the Sevastopol cell of Hizb ut-Tahrir. Vaitov, Primov and Sayfullayev were sentenced to 5 years in prison and Ruslan Zeytullaev to 12 years.
