In Crimea OMON policemen, leading the political prisoner and «Hizb ut-Tahrir case» figurant Enver Mamutov to the court, punched him twice.

The lawyer Emil Kurbedinov stated about it on February 8, 2018.

«Enver considered it absolutely without cause and any violations on his part. He was punched, and he did not understand even why this had happened. They (OMON officers) behaved quite aggressively», Kurbedinov said.

The lawyer also noticed how the OMON officers aggressively behaved towards another prisoner Remzi Memetov involved in the same case.

«He was pretty much bent, people shouted something to him in response and he tried to answer. Perhaps, this caused an aggressive behavior», said the lawyer.

Mamutov and his defense intend to appeal to the court with a complaint.

Earlier, on February 8 the Crimean Supreme Court extended the arrest term to the «Hizb ut-Tahrir case» figurants (Zevri Abseitov, Remzi Memetov, Rustem Abiltarov and Enver Mamutov) for two months until April 12, 2018.

As it’s known, on May 12, 2016 in Bakhchisaray Russian security officials conducted searches in Crimean Tatars' houses, as well as in a local cafe. As a result, Zevri Abseitov, Remzi Memetov, Rustem Abiltarov and Enver Mamutov were detained. They were detained by the FSS officers on suspicion of participating in the organization Hizb ut-Tahrir.
