Anarchist Aleksey Shestakovich was released after 11 days of administrative arrest from the Bakhchisaray temporary detention center on March 12.

Shestakovych was arrested «for distributing extremist materials in social network» after the search, being conducted by the Russian FSS officers in his house on March 1, 2018. He also participates as a witness in Crimean Yevgeniy Karakashev’s case, who was detained on suspicion of distributing extremist ideas in social networks.

During the search and detention, the siloviki tortured him and applied physical force. Aleksey Shestakovich wrote it on Facebook.

The search started around 07:50 by local time. From the very beginning, the security service officers rudely laid Shestakovich on the floor and tied their hands with a rope.

«In half an hour they put pants on me (earlier I was wearing only my underwear), without fastening my fly, and tied a black and red scarf around my neck. They photographed me. Half an hour later they gave me the opportunity to put on a T-shirt and fasten the handcuffs. Shortly before the search was finished, they let me get dressed and wear shoes», said Shestakovich.

During the housecheck, the siloviki applied physical tortures to him. His nose was beaten for a long glance at the silovik's mask, and his chest was hit for answering the question «What is the meaning of the found black and red handkerchief?». Shestakovich’s response was «Black is freedom, red is communism».

During the search, FSB officers seized the system unit, tablet, flash drive, phone, camera, two routers, a «freedom or death» scarf, a folder with documents, several books. A copy of the seizure protocol was not given to Shestakovich.

FSS officers took a base unit, tablet computer, USB flash disks, a cell phone, a camera, two routers, his scarf with a label «Freedom or Death», papers and some books. After the search, they put a cellophane bag on his head, torn his hands, brought to the bus and floored him.

«They brought me into a car. Immediately someone's fingers painfully pressed against my eyes. I shouted and at once the package was tightened around (and I already exhaled). The blows to my head were accompanied by some insults and threats. They floored me, slightly loosened the package, and I sighed a bit. Almost at once they again tightened it and then weakened when I thought about coming to an end», wrote Shestakovich.

Siloviki were breaking his hands, picking them up via handcuffs and making a man shout «I'm an animal».

«Once the right hand’s finger was slowly bent against my brush (I think it will take no less than six months to recover). I tried to gnaw the package insensibly. I made 2-3 holes. They have noticed and put on another one over. Although there were no more chokes. I thought that I’d not get to Simferopol and it’d be better to die on the way», added the anarchist.

Later on, Shestakovich was interrogated. They were interested in Eugeniy Karakashev and wanted him to say who was participating in the association «Sevastopol Anarchists» and drawing graffiti against the elections in 2016 in Simferopol.

On the same day, the Leninskiy District Court in Sevastopol gave Shestakovich 11 days of arrest for publishing in the social network VKontakte the songs «Kill Cosmonauts» and «The Synagogue» of the band «Christ the Savior and Mother Earth ensemble» which is in the list of extremist materials of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation. He was found guilty under Article 20.29 of the Administrative Offenses Code (dissemination of extremist materials).

In Bakhchisaray detention center he was treated normally, well fed and taken out for walks, but Shestakovich was never given any chance to write statement about tortures.

As to the website «15 minutes», on March 1 in Sevastopol and Simferopol, the Russian siloviki conducted mass searches in the houses of seven anarchists. They all are involved in Yevgeniy Karakashev’s case as witnesses. Aleksey Shestakovich and Ivan Markov were detained by the siloviki after these searches.
