Edem Bekirov’s wife told about political prisoner and accommodations in custody

The political prisoner’s wife told about the inhuman conditions of Edem Bekirov’s detention in the Crimean custody. His health is deteriorating day by day.

Gulnara Bekirova wrote it on Facebook.

«It is crap! Seventy days have passed! This is one of those cases of cynicism and cruelty toward my husband Edem Bekirov! The medical board concluded and left him in the custody, though also prescribed to non-insulin-dependent person insulin injections three times a day (his sugar is at around 12–15). His leg stump decays and he bandages himself. It is almost impossible to feed him as milk and oil is forbidden. Delivered products and food are nowhere to be stored! They never take Edem neither for a walk, nor for having a shower! They increased psychological pressure, everything is videoed! There is no TV but information hunger only! My husband suffers from diseases which are in the list preventing a person to stay in the detention center according to the Russian Federation acts! That's how it is! SOS! SOS! Edem is a first-group disabled person, has diabetes and an amputated leg with a non-healing wound. After a heart attack and operation, he also has 4 shunts in his heart. As well, Edem has a lower paraparesis of legs and the pelvic organs dysfunction. It is simply impossible to be in the pretrial detention center having such diagnoses,» Bekirova said.

Last week, political prisoner’s relatives announced Crimean Tatar’s health state close to critical.
