Crimean court again refused Chiygoz to visit his seriously ill mother
Akhtem Chiygoz’s defense filed again a petition for permission his detainee to visit a seriously ill mother Alie on Thursday, 15 June at the hearing of the so-called Supreme Court in Crimea on case of «February 26». The lawyer Nikolay Polozov wrote about it on Facebook. Last time the court dismissed Chiygoz in his right to visit mother.
«Akhtem Chiygoz’s defense again moved the court a petition for his meeting with a dying mother. Every day counts», Polozov said.
Court dismissed a motion on meeting.
«Prosecutor Anastasia Supryaga objects. She says it is not prescribed by law. The court dismissed their petition», the lawyer said.
To remind some facts, on 7 June at the court hearing the political prisoner’s defense petitioned for permission Chiygoz to see his dying mother.
«Recently, it found out that Akhtem Chiygoz’s mother, Chiygoz Alie Abduraimovna, is extremely seriously ill. She has an incurable disease. Akhtem Chiygoz, being sentenced for almost two and a half years, hadn’t any opportunity to see her. Moreover, relatives hid from him mother’s serious illness. Recently, in a light of extremely worse medical indications of mother’s health the defense asked the court to give Akhtem Chiygoz an opportunity to visit her, possibly to say goodbye. Two applications were filed. The first is about the right to give Chiygoz a short-term exit under escort to meet with his mother. At the moment she can’t move and come to the detention center. The court considered such an action as non-provided. Then the defense filed a petition to change the restraint measure to Akhtem Chiygoz for house arrest», Nikolay Polozov said at the time.
