Crimean Tatar Asan Chapukh, who was promised last week to be transferred to the hospital because of his suffered micro-stroke, is still being held in pre-trial detention center.

A journalist Anton Naumlyuk reported about it.

According to him, the medical unit workers refuse to confirm Chapukh’s microstroke, and all his treatment is limited only with injections sent by his relatives.

«The independent expert analyzed the symptoms and suggested a stroke, which the pre-trial detention center medical service refused to confirm. Meanwhile, there is no treatment carried out, except the injections sent by relatives on the basis of external diagnostics. A head of the medical unit in the pre-trial detention center Yevgeniy Anikanov assured that he had an order to send Chapukh to the hospital for examination and possible treatment. However, the order has not been carried out for three days already. What’s up with him in fact, no one can’t tell for sure», said Naumlyuk.

The journalist also noticed that Chapukh’s health worsens:

«In the cell Chapukh can move only with the help of cellmates, he has difficulties in moving the left side of the body».

The CEC of Kurultay of Crimean Tatars head Zair Smedlya wrote on Facebook that Chapukh would go on a hunger strike in case of failure to provide medical assistance.

«Asan Chapukh is still in the Simferopol pre-trial detention center and his health state remains serious after a stroke. There are no medical examinations and treatment. Movements of his left arm and leg are limited. In case of such an attitude in future he intends to go on a hunger strike!» Smedlya said.

Earlier, on December 15, 2017 a lawyer Aider Azamatov told that Asan Chapukh’s health was in serious condition. The pre-trial detention center leadership assured that in the coming days Crimean Tatar would be sent to the hospital.
