Crimean court denied a lawsuit against the Khan’s Palace restoration work by Russia
The Zheleznodorozhniy District Court in Simferopol denied Elmira Ablyalimova, the Bakhchisaray Historical and Cultural Reserve ex-director, in a lawsuit on «the barbaric destruction of the cultural and historical heritage monument of Crimean Tatars». That is the so-called restoration work of the Khan’s Palace in Bakhchisaray.
Lawyer Nikolay Polozov wrote on Facebook.
«In late February, a lawsuit on behalf of Elmira Ablyalimova was filed against the company Kiramet, which subcontracted and carried out the barbaric monument destruction under the guise of restoration and priority emergency accident-prevention work. The court refused to accept the lawsuit», Polozov said.
According to him, the court did not see «any violation of the rights, freedoms and legal interests of applicant Ablyalimova».
Thus, the Zheleznodorozhniy District Court denied the Crimean Tatars their right to defend a single monument, the Crimean Tatars’ palace.
«They (the Crimean Tatars – «15 minutes») can only observe how the Russian occupation authority not only persecutes dissenters trying to intimidate a free people, but also successively destroys the Crimean Tatar cultural and historical heritage, which was not even touched by the German occupation authority during the World War II», added the lawyer.
Earlier, Elmira Ablyalimova said that the Khan’s Palace restoration in Bakhchisaray led to irreversible consequences that could lead to the monument destruction. She added that the current work could not be called as a restoration there.
