Since the beginning of Crimean occupation, human rights activists have recorded 181 cases of inhuman treatment of citizens, 55 cases of which were torture.

NGO Krym-SOS coordinator Tamila Tasheva stated at a press conference in the Interfax-Ukraine Agency.

According to Tasheva, the first cases of inhuman treatment and torture were recorded in March 2014.

«In all such cases, we collect relevant information and, of course, file complaints to the military prosecutor’s office and the military investigation committee in Russia… I do not suppose we will elicit truth there. We have already received several times orders refusing to open a criminal case. Collection of other papers is continuing. We gather all this for international institutions,» said Crimean lawyer Emil Kurbedinov.

Earlier there was told in the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea that two participants of the illegal armed formation «Crimean Self-Defense» were suspected in  abduction of Ukrainian activists.
