Kazakh oppositionist Aidos Sadykov was threatened in Kiev

Two unknown men allegedly introducing themselves as police officers came to Kazakh oppositionist Aidos Sadykov on July 18, in Kiev. They demanded from Sadykov to stop criticizing Kazakh politician Mukhtar Ablyazov, otherwise «other measures would be taken against him».

Aidos Sadykov commented this situation to ATR TV channel.

According to him, two well-built men came to his house and knocked the door. When he did not open, they told about themselves and their reason of visit.

«They introduced themselves as Kiev police officers. They voiced only one demand as to stop writing posts against Mukhtar Ablyazov and accept my expulsion from the party (the opposition party - the Democratic Choice of Kazakhstan - ATR)», — said Aidos Sadykov.

His neighbors filmed everything. The video shows how the men demanded from Sadykov «to stop criticizing this person and accept the fact of his expulsion from the party».

«You’d better write less nonsense, otherwise other measures will be taken against you ... Because you will be treated differently, and the issue of your deportation will be solved then if you write any bad posts», — said one of the «police officers».

Aidos Sadykov considers those people as Kazakhstan or the Russian Federation special service officers, or hitmen who were hired to intimidate him. He esteems these threats as exclusively related to his political activities in Kazakhstan, since his public and journalistic activities have nothing to do with Ukraine.

After the incident, Aidos Sadykov called the police. First, the police squad came, took preliminary his testimony, and afterwards an operative group was called as well. Now all the witnesses are questioned.

As it is known, Aidos Sadykov is a Kazakh oppositionist, former co-chairman of the opposition organization «Democratic Choice of Kazakhstan».
