“From the Russian FSB dungeons
Vice-chairman
Of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ahtem CHIYGOZ to the world leaders: “Stop this horror is in your power!”
In 1944, with the complete connivance of the USSR allies people of the Caucasus and the Crimean Tatar people were expelled from their historical territories. In the name of victory over one monster ‒ Hitler, they turned a blind eye to another monster ‒ Stalin, and contributed to the creation of another fascist regime, called the Soviet regime.
Millions of tears of women, children and the elderly do not justify the indifference of the leaders of the countries of Europe and America who cared about the welfare and well-being of their people. It took 50 years to this fascist regime to collapse.
What happened today with the Ukrainian people and the Crimean Tatars is the direct responsibility of world leaders.
By promoting democratic values to us, they turned a blind eye to the actions of the Russian imperial power, showing some concern during the war in the Caucasus, seizing Abkhazia, constant attacks on the Ukraine, etc.
For the past 2 years, a Hybrid genocide is carried out against our people. Illegal arrests, searches, courts, kidnapping and death. The repressive methods against the right to freedom of expression, to think, to speak freely and to live in the homeland and to be full owners of the land.
To be indifferent or simply sympathize with, to think about your well-being and security, does not differ from those who are making fun of my people today.
To stop the horror is in your power! Do not let people relive our worst nightmare of the past in a new sophisticated form. If a person’s sense of honor, dignity and freedom is suppressed ‒ this is not a man!
Ahtem CHIYGOZ”
