Political prisoner Siruk in court: FSS tries to brand the Crimean Tatars as terrorists
On Wednesday, 11 December, the so-called Supreme Court of the occupied Crimea considered the political prisoners’ appeals, Vadim Siruk and Emir-Usein Kuku, about «court’s» decision on prolongation their detention period.
Political prisoners were absent at court hearings about a prolongation their detention period. Meanwhile, detainees were forced to pass forensic psychiatric examination.
As their lawyer Emil Kurbedinov said, «court» rejected the appeal.
«We did not expect a positive result», the lawyer commented.
Concerning such court’s actions Vadim Siruk in turn demanded the prosecutor’s challenge but «judge» aggrieved him.
In addition, Siruk told about «security forces’ attempts and intrigues to intimidate, about forced psychiatry and attitude towards them as to especially dangerous criminals».
«Vadim pointed out that he and other prisoners had passed over the countless attempts of pressure aiming to take evidences from them that the security services bruit about finding in the Muslim houses the weapon arsenals and branding them as the dangerous criminals. However, many people start undeceiving and watching who is a real «extremist» and spreads terror against them!» Kurbedinov wrote on Facebook.
Another political prisoner, Emir-Usein Kuku described the conditions in the predetention center.
«He (Emir-Usein Kuku – ed. «15 minutes») has a parulis, but they don’t deliver any medical support. X-ray is required. Kuku said that a few days ago one man next cell door had died because he was not delivered the medical support. While his staying there he counted 10 similar cases. He also told about the psychiatric hospital where he was passed a forced examination. Video surveillance works even in a toilet and there is no private life», the activist Ruslan Suleymanov wrote on Facebook.
As the website «15 minutes» wrote, on 21 December, 2016 at the court hearing concerning the political prisoners «Hizb ut-Tahrir case» complaints, the Crimean Tatars announced about FSS tortures over them during the investigation.
