One more witness confirmed beginning the clashes after Sevastopol group arrival (VIDEO)
On Wednesday, June 14, the so-called Supreme Court of Crimea held the 128th court hearing on Chiygoz’s case, who is the deputy chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people.
Lawyer Nikolay Polozov informed about questioning the defense witness, Izet Isidinov, before a lunch time. According to the witness, the protesters primarily behaved safely to each other.
“At first, the protesters behaved calmly enough, but the pro-Russian ones behaved more aggressively: they tried to provoke their opponents. They tried to cling the pro-Ukrainians with own flagpoles”, Polozov said.
Izidinov said that the crush happened after the arrival of young people from Sevastopol.
“The situation had changed when he (witness – ed. “15 minutes”) heard the screams “Sevastopol” and saw a big group joined the pro-Russian protesters. They were young sportsmanlike people, who tried to “wedge” to the middle of the courtyard, pushing people and the pro-Ukrainian protesters. There appeared a crush”, the lawyer said.
Also witness saw how the pro-Russian protesters had beaten the pro-Ukrainian ones with their flagpoles.
The witness said that he had seen Akhtem Chiygoz several times during that day, but had not seen his calling people to any violent acts.
Polozov informed about continuing the witness questioning after the lunch break.
