Larisa Shaymardanova asks Poroshenko to resign the Presidential Representative of Ukraine in Crimea Natalia Popovich

The Crimean Tatar activist, being missed in Crimea since 2014, Timur Shaymardanov’s mother, Larisa Shaymardanova appealed to the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko with a request to «take appropriate measures» regarding the office work of the Presidential Representative in Crimea and its head Natalia Popovich.

The video of this appeal was held on Wednesday, July 12, at office of the Presidential Representative of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea located in Kherson, where there continues the third day of an unlimited campaign demanding the Head of the Office, Natalia Popovich’s resignation.

To remind some facts the Ukrainian activist Timur Shaymardanov, who did not accept Crimean  annexation, had gone missing on the territory of peninsula at the end of May 2014. According to Larisa Shaymardanova, over three years ago Natalia Popovich, having taken her office, stated that Larisa's son «should be soon exchanged». The exchange allegedly did not take place, the official stopped contacting Shaymardanova. For the past three years Larisa Shaymardanova has no information about the whereabouts of her son.

«Peter Alekseevich, this is not my first appeal to you. I am very frustrated and now don’t understand why these victims were needed, why our children risked their life and well-being, if such disgrace is happening. And I do not think that such your representatives, representatives from your staff, do you honor. High-level officials having high budget wages do more harm than benefit to the country, and the image, and to you personally.

I really ask you to see into this matter and take appropriate measures. A man who understands people, works for people and respects his colleagues should work here, and not like she openly demonstrated her open hatred and contempt for the Crimean Tatar leaders last time. It is wrong. She simply has no a moral right to occupy this place», Larisa Shaymardanova said.

As the website «15 minutes» reported earlier, the mother of the Crimean Tatar Timur Shaymardanov, the Ukrainian Crimean activist who had gone in Crimea in 2014, Larisa Shaymardanova visited the office of the Presidential Representative of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea located in Kherson on Wednesday, May 31. However, she not only could not find out anything about her son’s fate, but was also received abuse by the Presidential Representative of Ukraine in Crimea, Natalia Popovich.
