The occupying prosecutor's office in Crimea deflected some part of the charges against Redvan Suleymanov, one of the defendants in case of «Crimean saboteurs».

As to Krim.Realia, Crimean lawyer Emil Kurbedinov informed about it after the scheduled meeting in the Zheleznodorozhniy District Court in Simferopol on Friday, July 21.

«The prosecutor's office amended its charge. It concluded that 3 out of 5 victims’ complaints in this case (the Russian FSS, the Crimean Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and the Simferopol Airport) were unjustified, and there were no evidence reconfirming their real damage from Suleymanov's call», Kurbetdinov highlighted.

He added that the Prosecutor's Office still leads a charge of suffering losses toward the Kerch ferry service and the Sevastopol bus station.

«The sea port bears about 3.5 million rubles losses and the bus station is about 400 thousand rubles. So we descended to 3.5-4 million rubles out of 5 million rubles. The number of victims decreased. However, it did not affect even part of the accusatory article», the lawyer said.

Kurbedinov hopes to convince the court in the future that «all the presented numbers are absolutely unjustified».

The scheduled meeting in Suleymanov’s case will be appointed for July 2 at 2 p.m. That will be exactly 1 year since his imprisonment.

As «15 minutes» reported earlier, the hearing in case of «Crimean saboteur» Redvan Suleymanov was held on May 11 in the Zheleznodorozhniy District Court in Simferopol. Once again, the court declined the lawyer's motions and extended the arrest until August 9.

As you know, the Russian FSS detained a group of «Crimean saboteurs», who allegedly prepared for the terrorist attacks on a peninsula, at night on August 7, 2016 in the occupied Crimea.

The occupants accuse Redvan Suleymanov of complicity in a false report about the terrorist attack with a total damage of 3 million rubles. Information about the upcoming Suleymanov’s sabotage appeared after the statement of the Russian FSS about the attempts of the Ukrainian military to attack the occupied Crimea and arrange terrorist acts on the peninsula.

According to the Crimean human rights group, nine Ukrainians in general were detained by the Russian special services during August and November 2016 in the case of «Crimean saboteurs». There are Evgeniy Panov, Andrey Zakhtey, Redvan Suleymanov, Vladimir Prisich, Dmitriy Shtyblikov, Aleksey Bessarabov, Vladimir Dudka, Gleb Shabliy and Aleksey Stogniy.
