Dzhelyal: Authorities continue to shut dissenters’ mouths
First deputy chairman of Mejlis of Crimean Tatars, Nariman Dzhelal stated that the Crimean Tatars’ detained majority today in Bakhchisaray actively demonstrated their civil position and supported compatriots during the house checks.
As to Dzhelyal, many of those to whom Russian security forces broke into and were detained today worked in the NGO «Krymskaya Solidarnost» («Crimean Solidarity») in Crimea.
«I want to draw your attention to the fact that today in Bakhchisaray there were carried out some searches and detained mainly those Crimean Tatars who openly demonstrated their civil position, supported people in similar searches, worked in the NGO «Krymskaya Solidarnost» («Crimean solidarity»), Dzhelyal wrote.
He noted that the authorities continued to muzzle the dissenters.
To remind some facts, on Wednesday morning, October 11, 2017, in Bakhchisaray mass searches were conducted in the houses of Crimean Tatars.
Russian security forces broke into Suleyman Asanov’s, Timur Ibragimov’s, Memet Belyalov’s, Server Zekeryaev’s, Seyran Saliev’s and Ernest Ametov’s homes.
It is now known that after the searches Seyran Saliev, Timur Ibragimov and Memet Belyalov were detained, as well as their relatives and activists.
