In the occupied Crimea police officers came to Zarema Kulametova, a mother of Giray Kulametov who was detained on January 18 for a video publication in the social network «Vkontakte».

According to law enforcement officers, they visited a woman because of the alleged complaint about insults against the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in Kirovskiy region. The police officers didn’t have this most complaint. Since Zarema Kulametova refused to talk to police, they left. Any decisions to permit the conduct of a search were not with them.

Earlier in the Stariy Krim on January 18, 2018, a search was carried out in Giray Kulametov’s house. Afterwards the Crimean Tatar was taken away to Kirovskiy regional police station. There was no contact with Kulametov, and his relatives standing under the doors of the Regional District of Internal Affairs were demanding information about his whereabouts.

Later on, the same day, Kulametov was incriminated 10 days arrest in jail for publishing a video in 2012 in the social network «Vkontakte». A man was one of the participants in the mass pickets in Crimea on October 14, 2017 against the Crimean Tatars’ persecution. On December 18, 2017 he was fined 10 thousand rubles.
