In Crimea a criminal case is initiated against Kulametov’s mother
A criminal case is initiated for insulting a police officer against Zarema Kulametova, Giray Kulametov’s mother, a man who was arrested for 10 days on January 18, 2018 for a publication in the social network in Crimea.
The «Crimean Solidarity» reports about it.
While visiting the investigator from Kirov regional department, the Kulametov family refused to give any testimony. According to Article 319 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Insulting an authority representative), a woman may face a fine of up to 40 000 Russian rubles, as well as correctional work.
On January 22, 2018 police came to Zarema Kulametova, Giray Kulametov’s mother, a man who was arrested for publishing a video in 2012 in the social network Vkontakte. According to law enforcement officers, they came to a woman because of the received complaint about insults against the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in Kirovskiy district. The police officers did not have the complaint. After Zarema Kulametova refused to talk to them, they left away. Decision to conduct a search was absent.
Earlier, on January 18, 2018 in Stariy Krym a search was carried out in Giray Kulametov’s house. After it officers took away Kulametov to Kirovskiy district police department. For some time there was no connection with Giray, and his relatives demanded information about Kulametov’s whereabouts under the police office doors.
Later, on the same day Kulametov was convicted for 10-days arrest in jail for publishing a video in 2012 in the social network Vkontakte. This man was amongst the participants in the mass pickets in Crimea on October 14, 2017 against the persecution of Crimean Tatars. He was fined 10 thousand rubles on December 18, 2017.
