Chubarov: Detained Crimean Tatars from Belogorsk stay under FSS round-the-clock control
Crimean Tatars detained in Belogorsk, Resul Velilyaev and Ali Bariev are under the FSS officers’ control.
The Crimean Tatar Mejlis head, Refat Chubarov wrote on Facebook yesterday.
«Resul Velilyaev and Ali Bariev are now under the punishers’ round-the-clock control, although their status is not yet indicated. They are not arrested and officially not detained, but they were taken out of Crimea. I understand that unprecedented pressure is being practiced right now against them. How this will end, we'll find out soon,» he said.
On April 26, in Crimea mass searches were held at Crimean Tatars’ houses. According to the Crimean civilian journalists, housechecks were carried out in Remzi’s, Resul’s, Ekrem’s, Zera’s and Rustem’s places. Velilyaevs are known in Crimea as the business owners, patrons and founders of Bekir Choban-zadeh Foundation. They built Refat Vellyulla Mosque in Belogorsk, which was opened in April 2015. The siloviki also came with searches into Ali and Asan Bariev’s houses.
As to relatives, Crimean Tatar Zera Velilyaeva was taken to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. Crimean Tatars Ali Bariev and Resul Velilyaev were taken away outside the peninsula by FSS officers to an unknown destination.
