The first deputy chairman of the Mejlis of Crimean Tatars, Nariman Dzhelalov wrote on Facebook.

«Russian authorities emplaned Nedim Khalilov in Krasnodar and expelled to Uzbekistan,» he wrote.

Earlier, it became known on November 8, 2016 that the coordinator of «The Crimean Tatars Resistance Movement» organization, Nedim Khalilov, was deported from Crimea by a court decision because of the absence of the Russian Federation ID (passport). The court found him guilty of «the breach of conditions of stay in the Russian Federation». Khalilov was judged as a citizen of Uzbekistan, although he considers himself to be a stateless person. According to him, the only paper he owns is the USSR passport, which states that Khalilov was born in the Uzbek SSR.

He was taken out of Crimea and held in the Krasnodar special detention center for violators of migration legislation.

As a protest, deprived of his opportunity to live in the homeland – Crimea, Khalilov went on a hunger strike on November 21, 2016. On January 5, 2017 being in the critical consumption after 45-days hunger strike Khalilov decided to stop it.
