On June 4 and 6, 2018, the Moscow City Court will consider appeals of Crimean Tatar detainees, who were arrested in Russia, Resul Velilyaev and Ali Bariev on the restraint measure for them in the form of being in custody.

Lawyer Dzhemil Temishev wrote it on Facebook.

Resul Velilyaev’s defense appeal will be considered on June 4 in the Moscow City Court, and Ali Bariev’s one in the same court is on June 6.

Today Crimean Tatars are charged under paragraph «a» Part 2 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (production, storage, transportation or sale of goods and products, performance of work or provision of services that do not meet security requirements; the same acts if committed by a group of persons by prior agreement or by an organized group).

As the lawyer noted, the charge can be changed in future.

«Now a number of examinations are being carried out, and other evidence obtained along the investigative actions is being analyzed», — Temishev said.

According to him, Veliliaev’s and Bariev’s defense filed complaints to the Chairman of the Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation for conducting investigative actions in Moscow, but not in Crimea.

«I admit that in employees’ actions from «Krymopt» or «Stumula» if you want you may find violations or mistakes in economy and reports, but I am sure that they do not deserve the attention of such a solid organization as the General Investigation Department of the Investigation Committee of the Russian Federation, moreover, the Office of Crime Investigation related to the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare», — the lawyer stressed out.

As for Resul Velilyaev’s enterprises «Krymopt» and «Stimulus», it was possible today to almost completely restore their work and unblock bank accounts.

«The next defense task is to change the restraint measure of the accused and objective qualification as a consequence of their actions. Our clients must be in Crimea with their families, and not behind bars in Lefortovo», — Dzhemil Temishev wrote.
