First Deputy Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine to the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Izet Gdanov showed a pumping station that illegally supplied raw materials to bromine and soda plants locating in Crimea.

During officers’ visit to the hydraulic power unit, «the pumps were still warm there». According to Izet Gdanov, the station pumped brine (a highly concentrated salt solution) for the Crimean enterprises.

«We are on the Kutaran dam, which separates the western Sivash from the middle one. Here is a pumping station. Electricity comes from the temporarily occupied territory to this station, and brine is pumped from the middle Sivash to the western part to supply activities both two plants,» Gdanov said.

First Deputy added as well that the watering plant’s territory would be sealed.

As the Crimean Tatar Mejlis head Refat Chubarov mentioned, both plants from the occupied peninsula «had received no licenses for using the mineral resources in terms of temporary occupation».

«Both enterprises called Bromine Plant and Soda Plant and located in the temporarily occupied Crimea work due to the brine (raw materials mined in Sivash region). Meanwhile, no licenses for using the mineral resources in terms of temporary occupation were issued by Kyiv.»

As it is known, both Brom enterprise, specializing in producing the bromine and bromide compounds, and Crimean Soda plant are located in Krasnoperekopsk, Crimea.
